Children's Ministry Provides a creative learning atmosphere for children between the ages of two to nine years; bible lessons, arts and crafts, music, and refreshments during the 11:00 a.m. morning worship services with an evangelistic thrust. Evening Bible Class Provides biblical learning opportunities for the body of Christ, informs the membership of biblical training sessions in and out of the Metropolitan area. Provides and implements ongoing teacher recruitment, training, and support for teachers and members. Men's Discipleship Gathers small groups of men to create an exciting environment for fellowship, study, support, as well as friendship. This ministry also strengthens persons in their walk with the Lord. Junior Youth Provides an enthusiastic blend of study, fellowship, support, worship opportunities and recreation for the youth of our Church. Missionaries Seek to fulfill the great commission through sharing God's word and assisting those in need. On the first Saturday of each month, they feed the Homeless and on the third Saturday, they provide breakfast and host a service at the Gospel Mission. Visits to the sick and shut-in. Distributes food and clothing to the needy. Assist bereaved families during funerals. Sponsor foreign missions. Assist senior citizens with community programs and many other functions. Way Out Ministry Seeks to assist persons with life controlling problems to get free and remain free through small group meeting which share the powerful principles from God's Word.

Facilities Provides monitoring of the parking lot during services as well as hall monitors inside the facility. Floral Ministry Prepares floral arrangements for our worship services and special events. Hospitality Prepares nutritional snacks following the early morning worship services on the 2nd through the 5th Sundays. They also prepares meals for various meeting and seminar events. Keep In Touch This group welcomes new members into the New Canaan Church Family, and acquaints them with the ministries and opportunities within the Church. They also prepare an annual fellowship for those who have join our Church. Kitchen Ministry Prepares and provides well planned, delicious and nutritious meals for church wide meals as well as special events within the church where the preparation of food is a necessity. This team is comprised of prepares and servers. Media Ministry Provides cassette copies of messages from the morning and evening worship services upon request. Training provided for system operation, duplication and other tasks. Nurses Unit This unit provides support, help, and practical medical assistance where needed, within the parameters of the congregation during worship service. Security Provides monitoring of the parking lot during services as well as hall monitors inside the facility. Senior Ministry Provides activity times, informational forums and outings for the seniors of our Church. Share Ministry A team of members work collectively in providing valued groceries to purchasers through: taking orders, picking up the food from the warehouse, packaging the items for monthly distribution. Ushers "I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness." Psalm 84:10 The ushers promote fellowship and provide comfort in God's house. They assist in maintaining an atmosphere of worship. They serve during each of our Sunday worship services (7:30 AM and 11:00 AM); during evening; pastorial outings, as well as funerals. Van Ministry A team picks up senior citizens from the Peterson Building to bring to our 11:00 a.m. worship services. A team consists of a driver and an escort. |
